OverviewAs a senior, Bowman started all 13 games at SS, racking up 73 tackles, including 3.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and a pair of INTs. He started two games at SS as a junior while also serving as backup at FS. In 2007 as a sophomore, he suffered an injury that caused him to miss the final 5 games of the season. He played in all 13 games as a RS freshman in 2006.
StrengthsBowman is a strong, in-the-box type of player. He's physical and aggressive and has the range to make plays all over the field. He reads the action well and takes good angles to get to the play.
WeaknessesBowman will struggle in pass coverage because of limited quickness and deep speed. He plays a bit stiff and doesn't change direction well enough. Despite his physicality, he isn't a great form tackler.
ProjectionBowman could hear his name late in the 2010 NFL Draft, but will more likely find himself fighting for a roster spot as an undrafted free agent. He has some upside as a depth player or special teamer.
