Overview

SENIOR (2009) Started 13 games at left guard ... tabbed second-team All-Big 12 by The Associated Press and honorable mention All-Big 12 by the league's coaches.

Strengths

Solid lineman who can block for both the run and the pass. Decent athlete who's quick off the ball and into his drops. Gets to the second level and can run and play in space. Strong hands, nice base and plays with leverage. Good cut blocker. Displays the ability to recover.

Weaknesses

Doesn't stand out; solid, not special. Can be overpowered by elite DTs (see Mr. Suh)and outquicked by top speed. Needs to get bigger and stronger without sacrificing quickness and agility.

Projection

Good football player should get a shot as a late-round pick or free agent. Backup/practice squad candidate who will work hard to be more than that.
