Overview

Very athletic DE who will probably move to OLB at the next level. 2nd Team WAC in 2008 and 2009. Spartan team captain who was fifth in tackles in 2009 (57) with 9 TFLs and 3.0 sacks.

Strengths

Quick and agile who can pressure the quarterback and make plays in the backfield. Great speed for a defensive lineman. Consistently among the leading tacklers on the team since becoming a starter. Hard hitter who can jar the ball loose.

Weaknesses

Question of coverage ability as an OLB. Showed good basic skills when used in pass coverage (3 pass break-ups in 2009 and an INT in 2008) but big questions remain if he plays as and OLB

Projection

5th round. If his coverage abilities are proven at the combine, could go in the 4th round.
