Senior Bowl invitee. Measurements - arm: 32.0" hand: 9.38" Notes: Lean, solid body but a small 212. StrengthsBig, physical receiver who excels in press coverage. Strong and provides a nice jam at the line of scrimmage. Solid tackler who can also provide the big hit when available, but shows good discipline. Shows good instincts and depth awareness in zone and off-coverage. Has the length to knock balls away and jump with even the tallest receivers. Shows surprising hip fluidity for a tall corner. Has good ball awareness and has soft hands for the INT. Also has potential to move to FS with his size.
WeaknessesAcademic ineligibility in 2008 is a concern. Also has severe injury issues having battled injuries in 2005 and 2007. As a player, he can play a bit high (as a result of his size) at times and smaller, quicker receivers can make him look foolish on the cut. Has good speed, but doesn't seem to have the second gear and his speed is built-up. Might not be an ideal CB prospect and could require a move to FS (an asset or liability, depending on who needs him).
ProjectionChris Cook really played well as a senior and then excelled in the post-season activities and worked his way up to the second day of the 2010 NFL Draft.
