OverviewUndersized senior DE Trevor Anderson is a good pass rusher who is drawing some double teams and led the team with eight sacks a year ago. A graduate of Crockett Vocational Tech and played two years at Cincinnati and three at MSU when he decided to follow D'antonio from Cincinnati to East Lansing after the 2006 season. He is a 'tweener who may project to SOLB in a 4-3, a 3-4 ILB or even back to fullback on offense. Many colleges sought him as a fullback out of HS.
StrengthsPowerful, especially in his thick lower body, also very football smart, not only watches conventional game film, but is also a YouTube junkie and often watches clips of his favorite NFL pass-rushers, trying to pick up things for his own game. He nearly went to Chuck Smith's training center for defensive linemen and linebackers this summer after researching the program on the Web and Anderson is a sponge for coaching.
WeaknessesBuilt like Freeney but not as quick or flexible as he or Dumervil, while he did generate 7.5 TFL and 4 sacks for a team that struggled to mount a pass rush he lack elite quick-twitch speed off the edge and has rarely been asked to stand up.
ProjectionPriority undrafted free agent with an outside chance at being a late selection if he can show he has a place at the next level.
