Overview

Explosive defender who was the Buckeye's Defensive MVP and Big 10 First Teamer, leading the Bucks with 5 interceptions. Great instincts, tackling ability and will to hit. Led by example, and delivered when game was on the line. Lott Trophy quarterfinalist and Wuerfell Trophy nominee. Senior Bowl invitee. Measurements - arm: 29.38" hand: 9.13" Notes: Solid frame but could bulk-up.

Strengths

Emerged as leader when defense was looking for one. Ball-hawk who seems to always find his way to the play. Excellent hitter who forces fumbles and cause passes to be dropped. Sure tackler who doesn't miss. Versatile defender who can play on all special teams.

Weaknesses

Slightly undersized as an NFL safety (recall Blount running-over him in Rose Bowl) and lacks elite speed to play cornerback. His 'tweener' combination of size and speed could cause his perceived value to drop.

Projection

Late 2nd to 3rd round selection. With greater mass/speed at combine could see stock rise.
