OverviewChris is a 2005 graduate of William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin where he was named an all-state selection and was also tabbed a Gatorade Player of the Year. He was also named team MVP and he earned all-district and all-county honors and was a 2-time team captain and 3-time letter winner. Chris competed at the state track meet for four consecutive years and finished third in the 100 meter dash and fifth in the 200 meter dash as a senior. He also earned all-conference accolades 12 times between football and track and was a Southeastern Conference Scholar Athlete as a senior.
In 2005 he walked on at Western MI, but redshirted and so no action. He play WR and earned a letter at WMU in 2006, then transferred to UW before the 2007 spring game. In 2007, he sat out to fulfill the transfer rule. In 2008 Chris played in all 13 games, starting six at FS and appeared on all four special teams and was the holder for all field goals and PAT attempts. He ranked seventh on the team with 45 tackles (27 solo, 18 assisted.) 2009 is shaping up as a break out season for Chris. StrengthsHeady and versatile. Can play offense, defense and valuable on special teams. Just enough size, speed and nastiness to be considered a FS prospect at the next level. Big play hitter and solid tackler. Emotional leader who gives good effort on every snap.
WeaknessesNot real big, and can not play the enforcer role at the next level. Average in pass defense despite adequate technique and understanding of what the opponent is trying to do. Looks like a career nickel back and backup if he makes a roster.
Projection7th-rounder or priority UDFA.
