OverviewJaevery is a 2005 graduate of William T. Dwyer High School in Riviera Beach, Florida where he was rated among the top 55 players in Florida by Rivals.com coming out, and was also ranked among top 70 players in the Southeast by SuperPrep. Jaevery was a first-team all-state selection on defense in 2004, a two-time, first-team all-conference selection, and he captained the team for two years and was team MVP and defensive player of the year as a senior. In 2004 he caught 25 passes for 359 yards and five TDs, while making 64 tackles (including eight QB sacks and 18 tackles for loss) in a seven-game season that was shortened by hurricanes. He also earned Academy of Finance Silver Award for grade point average between 3.0 and 3.4.
At Wisconsin, McFadden redshirted in 2005. In 2006, he saw limited action in all 13 games and tallied 10 total tackles. In 2007, he tallied 13 total tackles with a TFL. In 2008, as a redshirt junior, McFadden finally made a real impact, tallying: 34/50, 2.5 TFLs, a FR and 2 PDs. Through 10 games in 2009 he had compiled 33/29, 7.5 TFLs, 1 sack, 1 PD. StrengthsWiry strong, and makes good use of his shiftiness to avoid blocks and skirt around people to the tackle. Can chase and drag people down from behind. Enough size and speed to project to a WLB position in a 4-3 defense. Has good football instincts, sees what's coming, and is a student of the game.
WeaknessesNot real big. Not real effective in pass defense. Has taken his time to develop, and may not get much better. Solid all around player who doesn't excel in any facet.
ProjectionEverything depends on his workout numbers. Hard to project right now, but he should be a priority UDFA at a bare minimum because of his instincts.
