OverviewIntelligent, strong-armed leader who is regarded by many among the top 10 QBs in the 2010 draft. Highly decorated, as the Wuerffel Trophy winner, ESPN Academic All-American (Hiller maintained a sterling 4.0 GPA throughout his college career), NFF Scholar Athlete Award, among otheres, and he owns just about every school passing record and is among the WAC all-time leaders in many categories.
StrengthsArm strength and mechanics are very good. Prototype NFL pocket-passer size. Intelligence and decision making skills are impeccable, plus he has experience in a pro-style offense. He has been very productive and led his team in a very positive and effective way - demonstrated toughness as he played with a torn ACL in last half of junior season.
WeaknessesMobility and durability (he has had several knee surgeries) are two immediate issues. Accuracy (he only completed 60.1% of passes as a senior with 13 INTS against 23 TDs) is not at the level of other elite QBs. The level of competition he has faced in his career is also less than other top-ranked QBs have seen - struggled against Michigan's secondary this year for example.
ProjectionLate 3rd to 4th round.
