OverviewHad over 800 yards and 7 TDs (6.8 ypc) in relief of Ryan Mathews in 2008, then was injured late in that season too. Relegated to back-up with Mathews back in '09, but averaged 5.2 on just 68 carries with 4 TDs. Self-reports 4.39 40 time. East-West Shrine Bowl selectee.
StrengthsPhysical, quick back who has big play potential (90-yard TD in '08). Runs with great energy and hits hole quickly. Hard runner who rarely goes down on first contact.
WeaknessesHas slid down many draft boards due to resurgence of Mathews due to lack of touches. Averages just 4.2 per reception. Sometimes struggles in pass protection.
Projection5th round. With big Shrine Game and posting mid 4.4 time at combine, he will go higher.

Date/Time: 01/19/2010 - 2:33PM CST Predicted Round: Round 5 One of the most interesting kids in the draft. Hard to guage due to his limited carries, but has really good burst. Hard to give him a high grade though due to him being mostly a straight-line runner. Not a great receiver either, but he does have talent. Give him a year, play him on special teams, and by year two, I bet he becomes a player. Rate This Player |
