Overview

Graduate student who is rumored to run a 4.3. Has not played at Cal until this season. Has a year of eligibility remaining, and is very unlikely to declare.

Strengths

Big, strong and can run. Shows flashes of great ability. Has a solid arm. Improved amazingly as the 2009 season wore on. Showed much better confidence towards the end of the season, and was getting much confortable and fluid with his reads.

Weaknesses

Poor passer at this stage who throws off his back foot far too often. Doesn't know what he is doing out there yet. Has turned a top-level DII program into an also-ran early on with his play. Fast, but not field fast. makes poor decisions at times. Lacks experience and it shows. Pushes the ball. Overthrows open receivers. Dennis Dixon type player who has an awful long way to go as a QB. May be best served to play safety.
