Overview

284/406, 3103 yards 6 INT, 21 TDs. All Pac 10 1st team QB. 2 year starter at QB.

Strengths

Super accurate QB who is efficient. Very good in mid to short level accuracy. Has some mobility and likes to move on waggles and rolls. Good leader.

Weaknesses

Had a shoulder injury on his throwing shoulder and missed most of 08. Avg. to below avg. NFL arm. Has trouble throwing the ball in the wind. Can't bore the ball through wind. Long delivery and questionable decison making at times.

Projection

UDFA, but with the lack of quality QBs could slip into the late rounds.

Predicted Round: Round 3

Canfield "broke out" in the last 8 games or so moving from a pedestrian quarterback to an elite status. Has the accuracy, arm strength and football smarts to play in the NFL at a high level his first year. He can make all the throws and doesn't throw interceptions. Has worked with pro sets at OSU. Reminds me of a young Ken Stabler. Could move up into the second round. Is as good as Locker, Clausen or Bradford. Right now he's a true sleeper. The Rams should draft him with their top 3 pick in the third round if someone doesn't take him in the second or even late first round.
