Overview

Strengths

Interesting story line and history. Big arm and a swagger. Chucks the rock with the best of them. Can be accurate when he is on and can make all the throws. Shows some indications of maturation as a person and as a player after a spotty start to his college career. Checks down well. Has some escapability, and nice pocket presence and awareness. Nice set up, release point, and has a short, quick delivery. Made 2009 a redemption year.

Weaknesses

Needs a full evaluation. Thinks he's better than he is. Will force things at times. Not tall. Will need time and a patient (and very astute) QB coach. Has NFL ability but a minor league head and resume. Telegraphs at times. Not all that creative on the run.

Beck is flaky. Hurt his shoulder at Nebraska while participating in a mosh pit. Then before the next season he just vanished. Turned up two states away just driving around. Transfered to North Carolina State and struggled there before transfering to North Alabama. Can't see him lasting with an NFL team.
