Overview

With just two years of Div. I experience, Allison is a bit of a mystery. He has all the tools to be a very good NFL receiver.

Strengths

Possesses good speed and quickness. Decent size for an NFL receiver. Runs good routes and can put space between himself and defensive backs. Good hands. High points the ball. Tough, and will battle for the ball. Shows an extra gear when healthy. Tough in the red zone. Sits down well and makes all the catches he should make.

Weaknesses

Coming off 2004 knee surgery, his speed may not be up to where it once was yet, but he showed well enough at the combine. A Junior college transfer, he lacks a bit of experience, but that will come in time. There are some character concerns here, so do your homework.

Projection

Possibly a 3rd-4th round pick, but character concerns could hold him down slightly.

Another small D-1 program product. He is a little bit slower than Greg Jennings of the Packers out of Central Michigan. But is a much better leaper and has much better hands. There is no reason for him not to be taken be a team like New England, Baltimore, San Diego, Chicago, Green Bay, San Fransisco, and really any team that needs a sure handed WR. Allison is a 2nd round value and 3rd round or 2nd day steal.

I think AA could be a late round steal for someone who does their homework on him, especially if he is 100% healed from his knee injury.
