OverviewDiverse high school player, team leader, had 13.5 sacks and over 100 tackles and on the other side of the ball rushed for 575 yards and 11 TD’s at the fullback position. In 2003 he red shirted his freshman year. 2004, played in 7 games, had 21 solo tackles and 2 sacks, 1 interception, and a few QB hurries. Sat out 6 games with a torn tendon in his right biceps muscle. Solid 2005, most notably with 69 tackles, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions. Also in the spring won the George Preas Award. 2006 played 13 games, had a solid season with special teams, and finished the season with 82 total tackles, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions, 3 passes broken up and 3 forced fumbles
StrengthsAdibi has no problems mirroring the run or pass, very instinctive . With his speed and agility, combined with the fact he is very aware of what is going on in front of him, makes him a solid pick for a weakside linebacker position. He is very athletic, on fire, and one not to show lag at any point in the game. Very confident.
WeaknessesThe main problem in the 08’ draft will be his size, Adibi is limited to playing the weakside position for this reason. Lack of size makes him an easier pick for blockers, and he lacks strength at point of attack. Also, was thought to have had a season ending injury in 2004. Teams may view him as a higher risk then another comparable linebacker.

He has the perfect size, run stopping ability, and coverage skills to excel at the position. Plus, as a Strong Safety, he wouldn't have to fend off as nearly as many OL than if he stayed at LB. Here's to hoping that the Cowboys take him at the #60 pick in the second rd., & make him thier SS. Roy Williams made the Pro Bowl on name alone. His coverage skills have diminished, and he seems to have lost his confidense stopping the run. They need a fresh player in there who is like the Energizer Bunny, "Goes all day, then keeps on going". He is a perfect 4-3 WLB. He reminds me of a taller leaner Ernie Sims of Detroit. Adibi can run for miles he has outstanding athletic ability and he has great side line to side line range. He doesn't pack a great deal of wieght into a hit only wieghing 225 lbs. but Adibi has excellent technique and isn't affraid to get his noise dirty. Also he is a great team player and does everything Virginia Tech asks of him. He plays awesome against the run and has very good coverage ability. Xavier has outstanding speed and can easily cover tight ends and backs. Adibi would be a perfect fit for Tampa Bay's Cover 2 scheme. Adibi is a 1rst round pick no doubt, if he should fall to the 2nd round he would be a steal. But that is a big if.
