Overview

CU’s starting inside linebacker at the “mike” position and he’s racked up a lot of notoriety in the annual summer publications. He was selected as a preseason third-team All-American by both Football.com and Nationalchamps.net (he’s also on the official preseason watch list by the Football Writer’s Association of America), he was a near unanimous first-team All-Big 12 selection by the preseason publications including Athlon, CBS SportsLine.com, collegefootballnews.com, Huskers Illustrated, Lindy’s Big 12 Football, The Sporting News and USA Today Sports Weekly. Lindy’s rated him the No. 5 inside linebacker in the NCAA, and The Sporting News selected him as the hardest-hitting linebacker in the Big 12 as the No. 15 inside linebacker in the nation.

Strengths

Hard hitting intense tackling machine at LB. Is very tough: Knocked some teeth out during a game this year and kept on playing.

Weaknesses

Will need to pick up the speed of the NFL defense, but once he does, look out.

Projection
