Overview

CU’s starting free safety and one of the top defensive backs in the nation, he earned some recognition in the national publications. He was a preseason first-team All-Big 12 selection by Athlon, collegefootballnews.com, Lindy’s Big 12 Football and USA Today Sports Weekly, while The Sporting News tabbed him a second-team choice and ranked him as the No. 9 free safety in the nation (Lindy’s ranked him as the No. 16 overall safety in the land). He is also on the Football Writer’s Association of America preseason All-America checklist.

Strengths

Has good size and speed for a safety at the next level; Good tackeler and finishes well.

Weaknesses

Will need to work on his coverage skills.

Projection
