I can't imagine a bigger need for the Bears than Offensive line. Former #1 pick Chris Williams has shown he is not a left tackle and is better suited for guard. Frank Omiyale would be a back up tackle at best on any other team. Sherrod steps in as the starting left tackle on day one. This guy is a bit undersized but all he does is make plays. Tommie Harris is done in Chicago. Nevis comes in and rotates in at the T3 position and possibly plays his way into the starting lineup. Roberto Garza just had knee surgery and he was a bad player before he got hurt. Behind him is Erwin Balwin and Lance Louis. The Bears have to bring in players that can help them establish a running game and protect Cutler. This is one of the North Carolina players suspended for the year. He falls, but I think he's worth the risk in the 4th round. The Bears need a bigger reciever. The Bears just cut Mark Anderson and for good reason. They picked up Grant for insurance, but I don't see him being resigned. Elmore is really just a pass rusher, but that's all the Bears really need from this pick. Really nobody behind Cutler. Bears need to draft a nice young QB prospect and pick up a reliable veteran via free agency to back up Cutler. Manning will likley not be resigned by the Bears. Wright will step in as the starter next year, but some new depth will be needed. |

As a fellow Bears fan I would agree with you the areas of need that you addressed. However I'm completely seeing eye to eye with you on the players that you selected. Sherrod isn't bad I just think that in the 1st round a better option could be had. Ijalana would be awesome, but I think he follows Ducasse and goes in the second round. |
