Posted by theaxeeffect4311 on 10/12/10 - 11:31PM Looks decent Johanns. I say decent because I don't watch college football and still need to read more about a lot of these guys. So it could be crap and I can't tell the difference, but you look like you have the right team needs being addressed. However, you say that Luck will not declare, but I wonder if many players will choose to declare this year because there may be a rookie salary cap in place after this draft. Just a thought. Posted by Johanns21 on 10/13/10 - 7:34AM I can't see Luck declaring. I thought he could but the more and more I think about it I doubt he would. Guys don't go to Stanford just for athletics. He is a redshirt sophomore. If Harbaugh stays I could see Luck going one more year, graduating and then going to the Pros. Yeah the rookie salary cap could be an issue, but they also said that about last year with the Uncapped year and I don't think there was a huge increase in the number of people who left. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/13/10 - 12:51PM If the Bucs cant get Ingram then I do not want any other back. Ryan Williams is not better than what we have right now. If Ingram is off the board then I would go with Greg Romeus, or the best CB or OT there. Posted by theaxeeffect4311 on 10/14/10 - 12:20AM I did not think about the Stanford part. There are some players who want more than just money. To add to that, I heard that they may even have a new CBA before the end of the season, so if they agree upon a rookie pay scale, then it will be in place by next draft. Posted by Johanns21 on 10/14/10 - 8:48AM This up coming Draft is included in the current CBA....it expires right after the draft. Posted by Lionsman11 on 10/14/10 - 12:17PM I love the Peterson pick even with the major improvement from the CBs this season. However, I think that we will be picking somewhere around the 10 range, and Peterson will be gone by then, leaving Carimi as our best option. I'm a little bit of a Bengals fan too, and was wondering why you have them taking Carimi? They just drafted Andre Smith last year and Andrew Whitworth is a very good LT, who they just gave an extension to if I'm correct. Posted by Johanns21 on 10/14/10 - 12:33PM The Lions are where they are because I used Fox Sports Power Rankings and that is where they had them. They also have the Bears picking really late and I really doubt that happens. As for the Bengals. That was kinda a hard pick for me because of their needs. I know safety is a big need but I thought it would be too early for McDaniel or Moore. All though I guess I had McDaniel right after them...whoops. I just know that their offensive line has not been as good as before. Plus Andre Smith hasn't lived up to his previous billing. Carimi can play both LT and RT and that could cause Smith to go to G which I feel is an area of need. But I'm not feeling really great about the pick even when I did it. Posted by Lionsman11 on 10/14/10 - 1:49PM Oh, ok, good clarification. I understand where you're coming from. I also think Marvin Lewis may be on his way out after this season, along with the rest of the coaching staff, and you may also see Carson Palmer on his way out if the Bengals can draft a new franchise QB. Carson has been horrible this season, and I think the team is losing its patience. With such a high demand for QBs, I think somebody would overpay for him. Posted by KingCarl's5YearPlan on 10/14/10 - 7:00PM The Chiefs definitely need help with the pass rush. Tamba Hali is asked to provide most of the pressure himself and he's doing a pretty good job of it so far. Von Miller hasn't really put it all together this year and I think his stock has fallen. It has become quite clear, this year, that our WR core is seriously deprived of talent. Not a one creates any separation and all of them have a severe case of the drops. Bowe is so wildly inconsistent and has worn out his welcome, so far, in KC. Chambers has disappeared since signing his new contract.Terrance Copper is Terrance Copper, 'nough said. If any of the big 3, Green, Jones or Balwin are there, they would have to be the pick. Using your scenario at 21, Michael Floyd would have to be a consideration. I also like Hightower at ILB Posted by theaxeeffect4311 on 10/15/10 - 3:56AM I agree with you, KingCarl. WR has become a need, but Floyd has had problem with drops this season, and we don't need another Bowe. That being said, I agree with you that Hightower would be a good choice. Johnson and Belcher have played well this season, but Hightower could be a good addition. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/16/10 - 2:54PM I love how this guy dodged my comment. Ryan Williams is garbage and even if we did take him. He would not make our team because he is trash. Do some research and try again. Posted by Johanns21 on 10/16/10 - 7:31PM I'm not dodging your comments...I'm ignoring them because they don't make sense. Two weeks ago I did a mock and gave you Ingram and you went up and down about how you thought that RB was such a srength because of some guy who hasn't had a carry in two years and LeGarrett Blount. Then a week later you were saying that RB was your biggest need. This draft I have Ingram gone and give the Bucs Williams because he is the next guy up. Now you are bitter...I just don't get it. Why is Williams garbage???? Cause he runs tough and gets yards with a poor o-line????? Sorry that he is a little banged up and that they are resting him....do your own research pal...and check out my blog if you want to. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/17/10 - 2:18PM Ryan Williams reminds me of a really poor mans Matt Forte. Why the hell would he want that? Posted by Jerry's World on 10/17/10 - 5:21PM The Bucs need a RB who will open up the offense for them like what CJ and AP do for thier teams. Someone who will compete for about 1500-2000 yards a season and Mark Ingram can do that for us, because we just lost to New Orleans and we will be slidding down to where he is projected. Hooray for us. Ryan Williams cant do that. Posted by packman0588 on 10/18/10 - 10:24AM Well if the raiders keep losing the Bucs most likely won't get a chance to take Ingram because I really think the Patriots will select him with the Raiders pick. JW, it seems like you think that if the Bucs draft anyone but Ingram then that player is "garbage". If you don't think they are a good player then explain why. The fact that Ryan Williams won't rush for 1500 to 2000 yards each year does not mean he is "garbage", most nfl runningbacks don't hit those numbers and they are still good players. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/18/10 - 12:17PM Because Ingram is the only player that would make an immediate impact for us. He would open up the running game and help out Freeman and the WRs. He would make our offense exciting. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/18/10 - 12:41PM The Raiders will probably have a better record than Tampa will. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/18/10 - 5:14PM packman, it seems like everyone on here does not understand how bad Tampa needs a RB besides Lionman11. Ingram is the only special RB in this class maybe Murray. We need to find away to open up the offense. If we had a running game with a special RB like Ingram then we might of atleast made yesterday's game competitive. Ryan Williams if he is lucky is an average back at best which is what we have right now. So we are basically drafting another Caddilac Williams here and if we dont get Ingram then we will be in the top 5 in the 2012 draft. Hopefully Oakland pulls it together and has a better record that us which is possible. Posted by Jerry's World on 10/18/10 - 5:22PM
The Bucs should tank the rest of the year to get Ingram. He is worth it and its not like anyone has us in the playoffs anyways. |
