CDS is extremely pleased to announce the addition of veteran football scout/writer/analyst, Bill Chachkes of Long Island, NY to our team. Bill brings a wealth of long experience and talent to the position of CAA and Ivy League scout, and rather than gush on haphazardly about his accomplishments, we thought it best simply to copy & paste his bio below. Please join us in welcoming a true giant of the independent scouting community to CDS:
Dr.Bill Chachkes-The Draftnik &
Dr. Football Bill has attended the NFL draft since 1973, when he
said,"I can pick these players as well as any GM" to his Dad.
When other kids wanted to be the star QB, Bill was practicing his
punting.
A few years later he and his dad were writing letters to Giants GM
George Young to suggest players to draft. This was Bill's 25th strait
year with a Press Credential to the NFL Draft (27th overall with
credential and 39th overall in attendance). Bill has covered several
hundred College, Pro, and even High School Football games since 1987,
and is a featured speaker for several groups on football training for
coaches, players, and fans at every level.
From 1987-1998 Bill was a founding member on the Staff of THE STADIUM
GUIDE to Football, one of the more popular NFL Draft Publications of
its era. Since then he has provided his insight on Football to America

Review, the Learning Annex, and Fantasy Football review magazine. From
April 2006 to October 2007 Bill was the field reporter and scout for
Fieldposition.com, and its companion Podcast, which was the first

listings. From April of 2007 to Early 2008 He was on staff as a
contributing writer and advisor to the NFL Draft Bible. In March of
2008 Bill moved out on his own and formed Football Reporters Online
(www.footballreportersonline.com) with Michael Ingram of the Black
Athlete Sports Network. Currently they produce, along with Consensus
Draft Services, the Gridiron Guide to the NFL Draft
(www.gridirondraftguide.com).
He is also a Co Contributor with Mr. Zennie Abraham of Sports Business
Simulations/Media to the NFL business blog and the NFL Draft Magazine
Blog. He is a past member of the Pro Football Researchers Association,
and has well over a decade of coaching experience at the high school,
college and semi- professional levels, including a recent coaching
internship (two seasons) at the College level. He has also been a Youth
Football coach, and a Certified NY State Special Olympics coach. Bill
holds an Associates degree from CUNY-John Jay College in Criminal
