At the combine Marlon did 18 reps on the bench, had a 33.5" vertical jump, a 9'6" broad jump, and ran a 7.10 3-cone drill. StrengthsStrong, physical runner with balance, leg drive and tackle breaking ability. Does most of his work between the tackles, but has some speed to run outside. Stays low and attacks defenders, and can run over would-be tacklers. Great East-West Shrine Game performance.
WeaknessesIn the midst of a major slide; was third on the depth chart for the Gator Bowl. Lacks patience and the ability to make people miss as a runner. Not a natural receiver, and doesn't seem to have desire as a blocker.
ProjectionRare player who would have been better served by declaring as a junior. Has clearly regressed, but has the natural physical ability to play on Sundays. Might not be drafted, but will get a look in a camp.

Date/Time: 03/22/2009 - 1:41AM CDT Predicted Round: Round 5 Yeah no offense but that is just a bad scouting report. Marlon's strengths are quite obviously his receiving ability, his blocking, and his patience. He also effortlessly makes people miss in the open field. His weaknesses are running between the tackles (he's not very physical) and his balance. And he was third on the depth chart for the Gator Bowl because he was injured for the second half of the season. Unfortunately, I could see him going undrafted. I could also see a team taking a flyer on him in the fourth round. He's got what it takes to be a change-of-pace/third down back in the league.
