At W&M in 2006, as a RS freshman, he moved to WR after being the scout team QB in 2005. He started the last 7 games, saw action in all 11, and tallied 30 catches for 489 yards. In 2007, he started all 11 games at WR and tallied 39-451, did some punt returning and was the team's holder for extra points. In 2008, he took over once as the starter at QB for an injured Jake Phillips and on the season he completed 28 of 53 for 387 yards and a TD. StrengthsOK size. Very good escape ability and running ability for a QB. Former WR who understands routes, progression, footwork, etc. Technically sound as a passer and stands tall in the pocket and delivers a nice catchable ball. Smart on the field, and has reverted to the position easily the past season and a half. Versatility is a huge plus. May stick if he can find his way onto a practice squad and continue to develop his overall skill package.
WeaknessesA bit of "jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none" type. Lacks a cannon. Marginal pro size and strength. Has only done it as a QB for a year, and doesn't have big-league speed for WR. LOC issues.
ProjectionShould be a priority free agent.
